Time

We think time can be measured,

In lengths of numbers, we understand.

But each bit of time has slight pressure,

Through the hourglass’s sands.

There’s always too long to wait,

There’s never enough for your wishes.

Time shifts and changes on our plates

Slow in times of pain and fast with sweet kisses.

Time doesn't care about us,

Or the plans we had made in the before.

Time cares about pace and doesn't fuss,

Over the wants and needs of our cores.

It cannot be bent or borrowed,

It cannot be lent or loaned.

All we can do is follow,

And try our best not to bemoan.

Take the little time we have,

Enjoy every second till the last.

Worry only about tomorrow’s laugh,

And don’t think about the past.

Move like the hour sands of time,

Languidly through the scope of life.

Take your time, as it is just fine.

Carrying your hope like a knife.

Cut through distractions and array,

Move through time with your head held high.

Live to the fullest with a smile every day.

And know that the future for you, will not lie.

There will never be enough time to do it all,

Always too much to think and wonder in your brain.

But keep your eyes forward, watching your footfalls,

With your focus steady, you will not miss your aim.
